Installation of Sewer Liners - Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) (Tender 13-30)
Recommendation: That, on the recommendation of the Managing Director, Environmental and Engineering Services and City Engineer, the following actions be taken with respect to the supply and installation of sewer liners – cured in place pipe: a) the contract with Insituform Technologies Limited, 3 Burford Road, Hamilton, ON L8C 3C6, for the supply and installation of sewer liners, BE EXTENDED for one year beginning March 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014; b) the funding for this purchase BE APPROVED as set out in the Source of Financing Report appended to the staff report dated January 20, 2014; c) the Civic Administration BE AUTHORIZED to undertake all the administrative acts that are necessary in connection with this service contract; and, d) the approval hereby given BE CONDITIONAL upon the Corporation entering into a formal contract or having a purchase order, or contract record relating to the subject matter of this approval. Street Diversion
Recommendation: That, on the recommendation of the Director of Roads and Transportation, the following actions be taken with respect to the Colborne Street diversion: a) the closing of the Colborne Street diversion and Colborne Street lying north of Huron Street on Registered Plan 402(C) BE APPROVED; and, b) the Civic Administration BE AUTHORIZED to initiate the process of legally closing the Colborne Street diversion and Colborne Street lying north of Huron Street on Registered Plan 402(C) as public highway and for the conveyance of any easements necessitated by the closing; it being noted that the closing will not be initiated until the City enters into a purchase and sale agreement for the road allowances.
